The company is based in Sidirokastro, Serres and is located on the main shopping street (14 El. Venizelou) in a privately owned area. The goldsmith/jewellery store belongs to Alexandra Tsantouli - Stasa, who is the third generation of the family business that has been operating continuously since 1952. Initially, in 1952, my grandfather Mr. Dimitros (Dimitris Palachanis), started as a carpenter who repaired watches in a small workshop in Sidirokastro square. After a few years as a result of good and successful activity, it developed into a commercial store selling watches and jewellery. In 1963, his wife Mimika (Maria Palachani) started working in the business -being a pioneer- as she was the first female merchant who dared to work in the market. After the death of my grandfather Dimitros, in 1979, the goldsmith/jewellery operated only with my grandmother Mimika and from 1983 it was relocated to its current address. The operation of the goldsmith was very successful by Mrs. Mimika who had an excellent business genius and left her mark on the market.
